Coach Martinez has 12 years of high school coaching experience, including 9 years at SCHS. He has bee the Varsity baseball coach for the past 3 seasons. He played four years at the rival Wilcox High School and was part of the 2004 CCS Championship team as a student-athlete.
In his 3rd year as coach he helped guide the baseball program to its first CCS Championship in program history in 2025. That same year, he was honored as the Bay Area News Group Coach of the Year.
Beyond high school baseball, Coach Martinez is actively involved in youth and community athletics. He coaches his daughter’s T-Ball team and the girls Flag Football on campus, reflecting his commitment to growing the game and supporting young athletes at all levels. A valued member of the school and local community, he emphasizes fundamentals, discipline, teamwork, and character while helping student-athletes develop both on and off the field.
