In Santa Clara Track & Field’s first dual meet against MacDonald High School, the Bruins took charge early and never looked back. Santa Clara delivered dominant performances across all four teams, with the boys’ and girls’ varsity and junior varsity squads each winning their respective contests.

The highlight of the meet was a superlative performance by senior sprinter Siena Zylstra. In her first official meet of the season, Siena set both personal and school records in the 100m (11.97) and 200m (24.71). She already holds the school record in the 400m with a time of 55.76.

With many young faces in the program, Coach L’Heuroux is excited about both the present and the future of the Bruin track & field program.
